Roman Lockshin, MA, LMHC

Hi, I’m Roman.

I work with people experiencing anxiety, burnout, loss of meaning, and purpose.

If you feel stuck in overthinking, pressure to perform, or disconnected from what actually matters, therapy can help you develop motivation, regain clarity, and move forward with more intention.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, burnout, life transitions, grief and trauma, and loss of meaning. My practice also supports clients with multicultural and immigrant experiences.

Licensed in Florida • Evidence-based therapy • Confidential

You might be here if…

  • Your mind doesn’t slow down, constantly replaying the past or anticipating the future

  • You feel pressure to hold everything together, but feel exhausted underneath

  • You are highly functional on the outside, but feel disconnected on the inside

  • You are going through a life transition and feel unsure who you are or what comes next

  • You feel stuck between what you “should” do and what actually feels right

  • You feel like you’re surviving, but not fully living

You don’t have to keep dealing with this on your own.

About Roman Lockshin, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

My background includes finance and entrepreneurial work, as well as a career as a concert violinist. I hold an MBA in finance and am a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). This eclectic background allows me to understand both high-performance environments and the internal pressure that often comes with them.

As a former performing musician, I know what it feels like to present in front of an audience. Through my own experience of overcoming internet gaming and social media addiction, I understand how easy it is to get stuck in patterns that disconnect you from your life.

My approach combines emotional depth with practical tools. Therapy is not just about insight, but about creating real, sustainable change in how you think, feel, and live.

What we can work on

  • Anxiety and constant overthinking

  • Burnout and pressure to perform

  • Depression and emotional fatigue

  • Life transitions and identity uncertainty

  • Loss of meaning or direction

  • Grief and trauma

  • Financial stress and work-related pressure

  • Relationship challenges and communication

  • Multicultural and immigrant experiences

How therapy can help

Many people try to manage everything internally, which often leads to more overthinking, pressure, and emotional exhaustion.

Therapy helps you step out of that cycle.

In our work together, you will begin to:

  • Understand the patterns behind your thoughts and reactions

  • Reduce anxiety and mental overload

  • Develop more stable emotional regulation

  • Reconnect with your values and priorities

  • Make clearer, more grounded decisions

This is not about quick fixes. It is about building a way of living that feels more aligned and sustainable.

What to expect in therapy

We start by understanding what you are experiencing and what feels most important to change.

Sessions are structured but flexible. There is space to think, reflect, and explore, while also working toward a clear direction and practical shifts.

Over time, you may begin to notice changes not only in how you think, but in how you respond, communicate, and experience your daily life.

Therapy approach

My work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, mindfulness, and Logotherapy (meaning-centered approaches).

This allows therapy to address both symptoms, such as anxiety and stress, and deeper questions around self-esteem, motivation, identity, direction, and purpose.

The goal is to move from a constant state of pressure and defense into curiosity, clarity, and a more grounded sense of self.

What changes over time

  • You feel less mentally overwhelmed

  • You are no longer constantly stuck in overthinking

  • You feel more stable and in control of your reactions

  • You gain clarity around your direction and decisions

  • You feel more connected to yourself and your life

A space that feels steady and non-judgmental

You do not need to have everything figured out before starting.

Therapy is a space where you can slow down, think clearly, and speak openly without being judged. We move at your pace, with respect for your experiences and boundaries.

You don’t have to keep managing this on your own
